Undercover with La Vie Intimates
Jess is co-founder of La Vie Intimates, an Australian lingerie brand dedicated to designing lace intimates that are as comfortable as they are beautiful. We sat down with Jess to learn more about the story behind La Vie Intimates and the inspiration behind the lace collection that women are loving.
We would love to know how it all started, how was La Vie Intimates born?
La Vie Intimates was born out of necessity! I was in the market for gorgeous lace underwear but usually found it would come with a price tag and majority of the time they were not comfortable. I wanted underwear I could wear to work, to gym and to date night! We then took this idea further with a subscription model option for those women who are too busy to worry about updating their underwear draw. I know I definitely have held onto some pairs longer than I should have!
How would you describe the La Vie Intimates woman?
The La Vie Intimates woman is someone who is a boss woman in her own right. Whether that is a boss at home looking after the kids, a boss at work going through the 9 -5 grind or a boss woman studying towards her future. She is someone who is always growing and learning to love and accept themselves for who they are.
What are your 3 best seller panties?
- The Sienna G-String - the adjustable and skinny strap design make them comfortable under any piece of clothing. The mesh triangle at the back is also very flattering.
- The Olivia Brief – the perfect comfy brief but still with a gorgeous lace design. I would say they are my everyday pair!
- The Noir G-String – is the pair I like to wear to the gym so no one can see my underwear lines. I also love matching this piece to the Noir Bralette. I find it such a satisfying feeling when your bra and underwear match!
We believe a comfortable woman is a sexy woman, and we love that your pieces are not only beautiful, they're comfortable too! Why do you think lingerie can help women feel more comfortable and confident?
When you put on a pair of underwear that fits you right and makes you feel gorgeous I believe you’re setting your day up for success! There is nothing worse than walking around feeling like you need to adjust your underwear, especially when it is the first thing you put on in the morning. Women spend so much money on clothing that can be seen, we want to emphasise the importance of what makes her feel good about herself and comfortable – self-love. You shouldn’t wait for someone else to purchase beautiful underwear for you!
Do you have any new designs or styles in the works that we should all be keeping an eye out for?
We are working on some gorgeous seamless designs with lace details. Simple yet comfortable with no underwear lines, a win win!
In terms of colours, originally we started with the basics – black, white & nude as I always feel like you couldn’t go wrong with wearing these colours under your clothes. However, it seems like our customers are more adventurous then myself and want more colour in the range so watch this space.
